The Netherland's oldest and most prestigious Big Band Competition. Held yearly in May during the Meer Jazz Festival.
The International Big Band Competition (IBBC) was first held in 1997. It has been part of the Meer Jazz Festival ever since and has attracted many talented bands throughout The Netherlands and surrounding countries. The Corendon Meer Jazz Festival is held in the Cultural Center of Hoofddorp, near Amsterdam.
